HSE First Aid at Work
The FAW, First Aid at Work Course syllabus was written by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to assist employers to comply withe the HSE First Aid at Work Act (1981). It is the standard qualification for First Aiders in the UK work place and is nationally recognised. It is also the minimum First Aid qualification for anyone wanting to become an RYA First Aid Instructor.
The First Aid at Work course is designed to provide learners with the essential skills and knowledge needed to respond effectively to a variety of workplace emergencies.

About the Course
The 3-Day First Aid at Work course is a comprehensive training program designed to provide learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to manage a wide range of workplace emergencies. Over the course of three days, participants will learn how to assess and respond to medical situations, provide first aid for injuries, and perform CPR. The training covers topics such as dealing with wounds, fractures, burns, choking, and more, while also focusing on essential life-saving techniques.
By the end of the course, learners will be equipped to act confidently and effectively in emergency situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of their colleagues in the workplace.
